Use of Low Power and Very Low Power Wireless Access System including Radio Local Area Network in Lower 6 GHz band (Exemption from Licensing Requirement) Rules, 2026 Central 2026-01-21 Media and Communication laws These Rules shall apply in the frequency band 5925-6425 MHz.
Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026 Central 2026-04-01 Environment, Health and Safety Laws These rules shall repeal Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 and are applicable on every urban body as well as rural local body, including all entities within their jurisdictions whether being controlled and managed by the government; private sector or in Public Private Partnership; special notified areas; notified industrial areas or townships; special economic zones; food parks; areas under the control of Indian Railways including railway stations, railway tracks and land parcels adjacent to railway tracks; airports; airbases; harbours and ports including dry ports; defence establishments; public and private establishments; State and Central Government organisations; places of pilgrim, religious and historical importance and all land owners public or private, individual or body corporate in possession of land parcels, and to every domestic, institutional, commercial and any other non-residential solid waste generator. The rule does not cover industrial waste, hazardous waste, hazardous chemicals, bio medical waste, e-waste, battery waste and radio-active waste, that are covered under separate rules framed under the Environment (Protection) Act,1986.
Customs Baggage (Declaration and Processing) Regulations, 2026 Central 2026-02-02 Indirect Taxation Laws These regulations shall apply to baggage including any package comprised therein of the passengers coming to India or going outside India. It has repealed Passenger’s Baggage (Levy of Fees) Regulations, 1966, the Baggage (Transit to Customs Stations) Regulations, 1967 and the Customs Baggage Declaration Regulations, 2013.
Baggage Rules, 2026 Central 2026-02-02 Indirect Taxation Laws These Rules have repealed the Baggage Rules, 2016 and lay down provisions relating to baggage for international travellers.
Offshore Areas Mineral (Prevention of Illegal Mining and Transportation) Rules, 2026 Central 2026-02-03 Regulatory Laws These rules shall apply to all minerals in the offshore areas, except mineral oils and hydrocarbons as specified in sub-section (1) of section 3;
(2) Nothing contained in these rules shall apply to—
(a) any person or class of persons as the Central Government may, by an order, specify in this behalf:
Provided that the mineral shall be mined, stored or carried by such person or class of persons only for the purpose of scientific test and research work without any commercial motive or purpose;
(b) any department, institution or agency as may be notified by the Central Government under the proviso to sub-section (1) of section 5.

Guidelines for Injection of Compressed Biogas into Natural Gas Pipeline (NGPL) and City Gas Distribution (CGD) Networks  Central 2026-02-11 Regulatory Laws These guidelines are intended for ensuring the safety and integrity of installations and facilities related to injection of Biogas (Biomethane) into Natural Gas pipeline (NGPL), City Gas Distribution (CGD) network or facilities including and not limited to its material selection, planning and designing, installation, inspection, testing and commissioning as well as operation and maintenance of the facilities, associated with injection of bio-gas into Natural gas networks up to its injection point of CGD network or NGPL. 
Special Economic Zones Rules, 2026 Central 2026-02-06 Regulatory Laws Special Economic Zones Rules, 2026 are issued to amend the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006.
Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Rules, 2026 Central 2026-02-19 Regulatory Laws Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Rules, 2026 are issued to amend the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Rules, 2014.
Aircraft (Carriage of Dangerous Goods) Rules, 2026 Central 2026-02-17 Regulatory Laws The provisions of these rules shall apply –
(a) to aircraft registered in India or aircraft operated by an operator who has his principal place of business or permanent place of residence in India, wherever they may be;
(b) to all aircraft for the time being in or over India;
(c) to persons operating air transport services to, from, within and over India, shippers of dangerous goods or
their agents; and
(d) designated postal operator.
Sikkim Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) Act, 2025 Sikkim Yet to be notified Education and Training Laws The objective of this Act is to provide a uniform, transparent, accountable, and enforceable statutory mechanism for private universities in Sikkim, to consolidate and repeal the laws relating to the self-financed private universities in the State of Sikkim and to provide for establishment, incorporation and regulation of private universities in the State for development and advancement of higher education in the State and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
Punjab Private Digital Open Universities Policy, 2026 Punjab 2026-01-15 Education and Training Laws The policy shall apply to all Private Digital Open Universities to be established hereafter; amendments thereto shall apply prospectively.

Nothing in this Policy shall apply to any existing University established by an Act of the State Legislature unless such University seeks to be notified as a Private Digital Open University.
Karnataka Inland Vessel Rules, 2025 Karnataka 2026-01-23 Regulatory Laws The provisions specified under Chapters I, II, III, IV, V and VIII of these rules shall apply to all mechanically propelled inland vessels registered in the State of Karnataka. The provisions specified under Chapters I, II, III, IV, V, VI and VIII of these rules shall apply to all Special Category vessels registered in the State of Karnataka. The provisions specified under Chapter VII and VIII shall apply to all non-mechanically propelled vessels registered in the state of Karnataka.
Himachal Pradesh Municipality, (Grant of Trade License for Trade Activities, Use of Premises and Storage of Articles in a Premises) Byelaws 2024 Himachal Pradesh 2026-02-03 Corporate Laws These Byelaws shall apply to all shops/premises falling within the Municipal limits which may not be used without license for the purpose specified in Section 125,126,127, 128 read with section 202 and 214 of the Himachal Pradesh Municipal Act, 1994 as per Annexure I and for storage of any Article, and performing of any trade within municipal limits as per the Trade Types specified in these byelaws at Annexure I.
Delhi Food Security Rules, 2026 Delhi 2026-02-04 Food Safety Laws The Rules shall apply to all households seeking inclusion or verification in the Public Distribution System (PDS) and also provides procedure for eligibility, issuance of ration card, grievance redressal etc.
Madhya Pradesh Integrated Township Rules, 2026 Madhya Pradesh 2026-02-10 Regulatory Laws The scheme is applicable on the developers of integrated townships.
Tamil Nadu Electricity Grid Code, 2026 Tamil Nadu Yet to be notified Environment, Health and Safety Laws
Regulatory Laws
This Code shall apply to State Load Despatch Centre (SLDC) of Tamil Nadu, every user who is connected to and/uses intra-state transmission system of the State Transmission Utility (STU) and intra-State Transmission Licensees and the users (Generators & OA consumers) connected with the Distribution System of the Distribution Licensee.
These Regulations shall also be applicable to new connections and equipment procured/provided for new works / replacements from the date, this Code is made effective. 
Greater Bengaluru Area (Advertisement) Rules, 2025 Karnataka 2026-01-13 Corporate Laws The Rules provide for the provisions dealing with advertisement by any agency (individual or organisation) in the Great Bengaluru area.
Lakshadweep (Registration Amendment) Regulation, 2026 Lakshadweep 2026-02-20 Corporate Laws The Regulations seeks to amend the Registration Act, 1908, with a view to modernise and digitise the document registration framework; to enhance the legal certainty and public notice of property rights; to curb fraudulent practices and improve accountability through regulation of document writers; to facilitate the smooth conduct of real estate and civil transactions in line with the economic development.
Lakshadweep Marine Fisheries Regulation, 2026 Lakshadweep 2026-02-20 Environment, Health and Safety Laws A Regulation to provide for the promotion of sustainable development and management of fisheries in the Union territory of Lakshadweep and for matters connected thereto or incidental thereto.
