Registers to be maintained under Wage Code
- Form no. I – Register of Wages, Overtime, Fine, Deduction for damage and Loss
- As per Section 50 of the Code, every employer of an establishment to which this Code applies shall maintain a register containing the details with regard to the following in Form no. – I
- Wages;
- Overtime;
- Fines imposed on employees and
- Deductions from wages for recovery of damage or loss.
- All the deductions and realisations should be entered in the Form no. –I ; and
- Form no. – I can be maintained physically or electronically
- As per Section 50 of the Code, every employer of an establishment to which this Code applies shall maintain a register containing the details with regard to the following in Form no. – I
- Form no. IV – Register of Employees
- As per Section 50 of the Code , every employer of an establishment to which this Code applies shall maintain a register employees containing particulars of employees in the prescribed format. and
- Form no. – IV can be maintained physically or electronically
Displays to be made under Wage Code
- Notice specifying acts and omission
- As per Section 19(2) , every employer to display notice specifying acts and omission in respect of which fine may be imposed on employees;
- Such notice shall be displayed at the conspicuous places in the work place so that every concerned employee can easily read the same; and
- a copy of the notice shall be sent to the jurisdictional inspector-cum-facilitator.
- Notice containing the abstract of Code, wage rates, wage period etc.
- As per Section 50(2), every employer shall display a notice containing the following :
- Abstract of this Code,
- Category-wise wage rates of employees,
- Wage period,
- Day or date and time of payment of wages, and
- The name and address of the jurisdictional Inspector-cum-Facilitator
- Such notice shall be displayed at the conspicuous places in the work place.
- As per Section 50(2), every employer shall display a notice containing the following :
- Notice regarding weekly day of rest of employees and changes thereto
- As per Rule 7(1) , every employer shall inform employees about the rest day and of any subsequent change in the rest day before the change is effected, by display of a notice to that effect, and
- Such display shall be made in the place of employment at the place specified by the Inspector-cum-Facilitator in this behalf.
