This Master Direction covers instructions regarding the capital required to be provided for by banks commensurate with their risks and the components thereof. These Directions serve to specify the prudential norms from the point of view of capital adequacy. Permission for RRBs to undertake transactions in specific instruments /products/ activities shall be guided by the regulations, instructions and guidelines on the same issued by Reserve Bank from time to time.
Hinges (Quality Control) Order, 2025 Central 2025-03-25 Regulatory Laws Hinges shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standard specified in column (3) of the Table of this Order and shall bear the Standard Mark under a licence from the Bureau as per Scheme-1 of Schedule-II to the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

Provided that nothing in this Order shall apply to goods or articles manufactured domestically for export.

Provided also that nothing in this Order shall apply for up to two hundred numbers of goods or articles imported for the purpose of research and development by manufacturers of hinges per year with the condition that such imported goods and articles shall not be sold commercially and can be disposed of as a scrap and the manufacturers shall maintain a year-wise record of such goods or articles and furnish to the Central Government on its letter head duly signed by its authorized signatory.

Postal Imports Regulations, 2025 Central Yet to be notified Regulatory Laws These Regulations shall apply to assessment and clearance of goods imported through Foreign Post Offices notified under clause (e) of sub section (1) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962.

These regulations shall not apply to: – (a) the following imported goods requiring testing of samples thereof before their clearance, namely: –

(i) animals and parts thereof, plants and parts thereof;

(ii) perishables;

(iii) publications containing maps depicting incorrect boundaries of India;

(iv) precious and semi-precious stones, gold or silver in any form;

(b) import of goods under any export promotion scheme referred to in the Foreign Trade Policy 2009-14 or 2015-20 or 2023, as the case may be.

Master Direction – Scheme of Penalties for bank branches and currency chests for

deficiency in rendering customer service to the members of public

Central 2025-04-01 Banking and Forex Laws These Directions shall apply to all the Banks. The Scheme of Penalties for bank branches and currency chests has been formulated to

ensure that all bank branches / currency chests provide customer service to the members of public / linked bank branches keeping in view the objectives of Clean Note Policy and enhancing operational efficiency.

Master Direction – Facility for Exchange of Notes and Coins Central 2025-04-01 Banking and Forex Laws These Directions shall apply to all the Banks. As per these Directions, Banks shall ensure that all their branches provide facility for exchange of notes and coins not only to their customers but also others. Small Finance Banks (up to two years from the commencement of their banking business) and Payment Banks may exchange mutilated and imperfect notes at their option.

Central 2025-04-01 Banking and Forex Laws These Directions shall apply to all the Banks having currency chest. The Directions contain detailed provisions in respect of levy of penalties by RBI for delay in reporting of currency chest transactions or wrong reporting of the transactions.
Master Direction – Reserve Bank of India (Interest Rate on Deposits)

Central 2025-04-01 Banking and Forex Laws These Directions shall apply to all the Banks authorised to operate in India. These Directions shall not be applicable to operations of foreign branches of Indian banks. These Directions provide a framework for banks to follow while formulating their policies on Interest Rates on Deposits and has repealed Master Direction – Reserve Bank of India (Interest Rate on Deposits) Directions, 2016 and Master Direction – Reserve Bank of India (Co-operative Banks – Interest Rate on Deposits) Directions, 2016.
Export Entry (Post export conversion in relation to instrument-based scheme) Regulations, 2025 Central 2025-04-03 Regulatory Laws These Regulations supersede Shipping Bill (Post Export Conversion in relation to Instrument based Scheme) Regulations, 2022. As per the new regulations shipping bills level, invoice and item can only be changed with the approval of the Additional or Joint Commissioner of Customs.

Boilers Act, 2025 Central 2025-05-01 Environment, Health and Safety Laws This Act has repealed the existing Boilers Act, 1923 and provides for the regulation of boilers, safety of life and property of persons from the danger of explosions of steam-boilers and for uniformity in registration and inspection during manufacture, erection and use of boilers in the country and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
Environment (Construction and

Demolition) Waste Management Rules, 2025

Central 2026-04-01 Environment, Health and Safety Laws These Rules shall supersede Environment (Construction and

Demolition) Waste Management Rules, 2016.

These rules shall apply to all activities of construction, demolition, remodelling, renovation and repair of any structure.

(2) These rules shall not apply to the waste categories or streams covered under –

(a)the Atomic Energy Act, 1962 (33 of 1962) and the rules made thereunder;

(b)the defence projects, and other projects of a strategic nature;

(c)the Waste generated due to natural disasters or by the act of war; and

(d) Waste covered in any other sector specific waste management rules.

Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025 Central Yet to be notified Immigration Laws The Act provides for smooth immigration system under one legal framework by repealing four existing Acts: The Passport (Entry into India) Act, 1920, the Registration of Foreigners Act, 1939, the Foreigners Act, 1946, and the Immigration (Carriers’ Liability) Act, 2000.
Master Circular – Collateral Formats Central 2025-04-09 Capital Market Laws NCCL vide its circular no. NCCL/CLEARING-017/2024 dated April 08, 2024 on Collaterals Formats, consolidated the processes relating to submission of Collaterals. In order to ensure availability of consolidated information contained in all the circulars pertaining to collaterals at one place, the circulars issued till April 3, 2025 have been consolidated in this Master Circular. This Master Circular is issued in accordance with the provisions of Bye Law no. 6.4 of NCCL Bye laws read with the Regulations of NCCL as in force from time to time.
Master Circular – Clearing & Settlement Central 2025-04-09 Capital Market Laws NCCL vide its circular no. NCCL/CLEARING-018/2024 dated April 08, 2024, on Clearing & Settlement Procedures, consolidated the various processes relating to Clearing & Settlement. In order to consolidate information pertaining to Clearing & Settlement contained in all the circulars issued thereafter and make them available at one place, the

Master Circular- Warehousing Operations Central 2025-04-09 Capital Market Laws, Regulatory Laws NCCL vide its circular no. NCCL/LOGISTICS-001/2024 dated April 8, 2024 on Warehousing Operations, consolidated various processes and norms relating to Warehousing Operations. Haryana Honourable Disposal of Dead Body Act, 2025 Haryana 2025-04-09 Regulatory Laws To uphold the basic human rights of dead body and for the decent final disposal of dead body in the State of Haryana and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. The Act also provides for the obligation of hospital administration for storage of dead body.
Goa Media Representatives Accreditation Rules, 2025 Goa 2025-04-10 Media, Marketing and Communication Laws

These rules shall apply to the accreditation of media representatives to the Government.

‘Accreditation’ means recognition of working journalists and other such persons as may be specified by the Government for purpose of access to designated official sources of information in the Government
